Meet Owen, our new Tenor!

Please join us in welcoming him to the Swingle family!

We are so excited to announce our new tenor, Owen Butcher, who will be joining us in April!

Owen graduated from the University of York with a BA in Music, followed by an MA in Vocal Studies. Whilst in York, Owen embraced contemporary singing, performing roles in a number of musical theatre productions as well as Musical Director/Arranger for the university’s a cappella ensemble.

Since graduating, he has been developing his career as a freelance musician, most notably marking his Off West End debut as Alan Turing in ‘Alan Turing - A Musical Biography’. Owen also runs a vocal coaching business, teaching singing in music academies and running regular community singing workshops.

Beyond the realm of singing, Owen is an avid climber, board game enthusiast, trombonist and cook.
